What is the Unger Farms Guarantee?
The Unger Farms Guarantee is our way to say there is no risk in trying the Unger Delivery service.
If you’re not totally satisfied with your eggs, milk, or fruit, we’ll refund your money or get you a replacement. No questions asked.
What is the delivery area?
We deliver to the west side of the Portland Metro area. Including Portland, Tigard, Hillsboro, Beaverton, Lake Oswego and more. Click here to see a map and the zip codes we deliver to.
What do you charge to deliver?
For orders over $50 per week, there’s no charge for delivery. Orders under $50 have a $6.95 charge to get delivery from our farm to your doorstep.
What if my bill is wrong?
We want to fix it! Just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 917-416-6900 and we’ll solve any billing problem.
What if I didn’t get everything I ordered?
We want to fix it! Just contact us at email@example.com or call us at 917-416-6900 and we’ll either get you the items you’re missing or refund you right away.
If I have multiple subscriptions showing up on the same day will I get double-charged?
No, If you order different items at different frequencies, we only charge one delivery fee per visit to your house. Unfortunately, our system is a little funky, and it does some automatic things that we have to fix on the backend. You’ll never get more than one delivery fee, and if we make a mistake, just reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We view the delivery fee as a single trip charge for the convenience of our service and not profit fee on every item.
When am I getting my first delivery?
We deliver every Friday to our delivery area.
If you get your order in by Tuesday, you will get your delivery Friday. If you get it in after Wednesday, you will get your first delivery the following Friday.
What is the milk deposit and how does the refund work?
Our milk from Schoch Dairy comes in glass bottles and each bottle has a $2.50 deposit on it (just like bottles and cans in Oregon). We don’t mark up the deposit, but we have to collect it.
Just leave your empty bottles out on Fridays and when we deliver we’ll pick them up and process your deposit refund on your bill before the next delivery.
If you cancel your subscription any outstanding bottle credits are refunded to your subscription payment method. If you have bottles left over after your subscription has ended you will need to take your empty bottles to Schoch Dairy (or participating grocery store) to receive your refund.
What size are the eggs?
How do we clean and store our eggs?
The eggs are cleaned gently with a dry cloth leaving the protective membrane or blush intact. We do refrigerate them after they are collected.
Are the eggs organic?
Unger Farms is not an organic farm, but we’re committed to local, healthy and sustainable farming practices. The chickens are raised on our small farm cage-free, free-range, and non-antibiotic and our chicken feed is GMO-free.
What kinds of chickens lay the eggs?
We have a mixture of: NovoGen Brown Chickens, Color Pack Blue Chickens, and Dominant Copper Chickens. You’ll get a mix of those varieties each week.
